I'm Kara Johnston, I'm 41, and I've been diagnosed with ADHD. And I have 3 children, 2 of which have ADHD as well.
I knew I always didn't fit in. From very early on in my...well, from kindergarten. So I knew as a kid that I didn't do well at school, I was always in trouble with adults, and then it just kind of progressed throughout life, you know what I mean? I was always trying hard. I struggled along well enough to wind up having some really neat experiences...I went to France to school, but I always just bounced around and kind of did different things and never completed anything, and wound up going to college-level nursing school and just always learned to compensate.
